practice today a self-guided session with lots of abs and sun salutations. drank too much tea before bed, up lots in and out of the tent to pee, woke up not having it, slept in to compensate. chanted the River song and May All People Walk In Beauty and burned the sage though, new bundles from Sage Winds Farm, San Diego.

personal practice today was part 6 of Embodying Enoughness by Turbodog Yoga Chicago. First round down; three weeks in an I am feeling amazing, alive, conscious, strong, alert, humble, whole. teaching today was cancelled on account of rain. I bicycled into town in order to blog this; my clothes are now being dried by my own body heat just to get wet later when I bicycle over to the rental car store. Allah invented dashboard heaters for just this type of occurrence, I'd say. huzzah.
practice today was Embodying Enoughness session 5. I had a powerful sense of Nothingness, Wu, at end of class, when all things made sense and the mindbody became briefly unified and focued. I watched the opening and closing of the gates of heaven staring blank-eyed like a child, as does the mother bird sitting patiently and impartially upon her nest. a feathery energy enveloped me and as I brought my hands into prayer pose at the end of class I could see the long flight feathers extending from my fingers and running up my arms to my shoulders. the left half of my head was also covered in these spirit feathers, although the right upper cranium was not. either way, I'll take it! aho.
taught Abs with A Block, Elbow to Knee (Feet Down), Shower Pose, Sun Salutations, Eagle Lunge, Twisting Lunge, 1/2 Frog, & 1/2 Happy Baby. student explored a longer exhale than an inhale as well as bringing breath and energy into his hips. he worked through a pulled groin muscle on the right-hand side and finished class breathing deeply in savasan. aho!
personal practice today was session #6 of Embodying Enoughness by Turgodog Yoga Chicago. so much brahmeri, so much buzzing! I'm all buzzed up and ready to tackle the world. aho!
I woke up cold and airy, at 3:40 am, having thrown off my fourth layer last night thinking it would be a warm night; I was wrong. personal practice today was session #5 of Embodying Enoughness by Turbodog Yoga, Chicago. taught using 3 rounds of Uddiyana, Seated Neck Release Pose, Dolphin Prelude, Chest Opener on Wall, 4 sets of sun salutations, and B-Series featuring Warrior II with Shoulder Shrugs and Pyramid with Achilles Tendon Stretch. I think my student cried today, although it might have just been sweat in his eyes. either way we worked a lot with the 4th chakra, which on him is as hard as rock. I cued opening the bundles of nerves et alii that run along the sides of the spine, using twists and back traction to start to start trying to pry loose the energies he keeps stored in these areas. slowly but surely the struggles are won. aho!
Right before class this morning my student told me that while on vacation last weekend he taught his wife's sister's boyfriend, whom he considered however to be a hard person to teach. Basic moves and Brahmeri were what my student taught, and during class he made an excellent dolphin. I am very proud of him, and told him so. (We have been working away at his shoulders; they have softened a little over these past months, evolving from cement to refrigerated clay.) My personal practice today was Clear The Chakras by H. Sormaz, and I taught using Brahmeri, Classic Seated Spinal Twist, Reverse Warrior II into Extended Warrior Variation, Camel, Laying Down Spinal Twist One Leg Straight, and a relaxing Savasan with Brain Balancing. A good day, indeed. Huzzah, and aho!
completed the second week of Embodying Enoughness by Turbo Dog Yoga, Chicago. my energies are humming and aligned and I feel better about myself and my potential in this life than i have in decades. I've been eating well, sleeping much, and healing my Spirit with daily meditation and yoga sessions. ahola and aho!
