During the 2013 Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training in Houston, TX, John Paul received the name Ee Ee H'oto from one of his spirit guardians. The second of three children born to a Naval officer turned Lutheran pastor and his wife, an artist and accomplished home-maker, JP moved from Pennsylvania USA to Frankonia Germany in the Spring of 1990. He started commuting to an arts-oriented Gymnasium in Bamberg at age 14, learned to play the trumpet, and gained a deep appreciation for public transportation, recycling, and bicycling. He graduated from the Gymnasium in 1997 and traveled back to Pennsylvania, where he attended Gettysburg College starting in the fall of that year. After losing his mother to ALS in February, he graduated in May of 2001 and moved to New York City. A 9-11-2001 first responder, JP left New York in 2002 and moved to San Diego, where he worked at a trading card company until 2005. Then, he moved to Los Angeles, where he explored the limits of decency until 2009, when he moved back to Pennsylvania to manage the family property after his father's death. Now, he's back in Los Angeles after many years exploring Asia and himself, ready to start teaching yoga again! Thank you for visiting. |
