though I've sometimes wavered
over the years since my Forrest Yoga teacher's training, I've sometimes set aside my daily practice. now, however, since spending much of the last year and a half on the island of Bali, I've discovered the need, the absolute need, for a both a daily practice and a daily prayer/meditation session. after I've done my morning session I do skull-shining until there's a shift, then praise That Which Cannot Be Named, whose high seat I face, then I read 4 passages from the Tao Teh Ching, two from the day before and two new ones, then I lift my necklace and its four talismans so that they are in front of my 6th chakra, then I visualize and thank both sets of grandparents as well as father and mother. in the tradition of daily and constant prayer, this may not be as much effort as the Balinese put out, but, it's a start. huzzah!
